These days we are presenting and evaluating Spike v1.0 at the Higher Technical School of Agricultural, Food and Biosystems Engineering (ETSIAAB) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). In these sessions, students were able to touch and play with the components of the system, test its functionalities, collect data in real time, and analyse it exploring datasets. In addition, students were able to "chat" with the system and explore the values returned by the sensors using their own Telegram. The participants reported on the usability of the system and proposed alternative contexts in which the system could be used for educational purposes. Last but not least, students were introduced into technical aspects for programming microcontrollers and sensors.
